Racing Incident Report

The start was delayed as NIGHT HUNTER was difficult to load. Before the horse can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial (stalls test). In the run to the winning post, CHIRAG and AIR FORCE ONE were crowded for room between THE RICH MAN and NIGHT HUNTER (M de Montfort) which shifted in whilst being ridden out. M de Montfort was told he must exercise far more care in future. W M Lai (THE RICH MAN) was fined $3,000 for misconduct in that he hit his mount on the head with his whip on returning to the dismounting area for unplaced horses.
