Racing Incident Report

Subsequent to Race 2, Mr A T Millard, Trainer of EQUIKIT, sought permission to remove the blinkers from the horse today as he considered with the prevailing track conditions the blinkers may have an adverse effect on the horse. Mr Millard was advised his request could not be acceded to and the horse must race in its registered gear. MONEY WINS left the gates badly, shifted out, was then awkward on the heels of RACE TO HONOUR. When the gates opened, BON BON bounded in the air. SIR GALWAY jumped awkwardly. Near the 400 Metres, PEGASUS STAR was checked when disappointed for running between SIR GALWAY which was giving ground and GOOD TIME FOR ALL which shifted out slightly. In the circumstances, no action was taken. Then for some distance near the 200 Metres, PEGASUS STAR was unable to obtain clear running between EQUIKIT and HOSSEGOR. To obtain running, PEGASUS STAR was steadied and shifted out. During the race, the saddle on WONDERFUL WINNERS slipped back. RACE TO HONOUR was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
