Racing Incident Report

On jumping, BUENO BUENO and SPLENDID PATROL came together. On jumping, THE MOST DAUNTLESS dipped. Also on jumping, GOLD CHARM dipped, shifted out and bumped the shoulders of HEAVENLY WIND. ASIAN EXPRESS left the gates awkwardly, then shifted in abruptly. Just after the start, NO COMPETITOR lost its position when crowded for room between LOTUS SUPREME and WINNING COUNTER which was shifting out away from LANDLORD. The occurrence was in the opinion of the Stewards accidental. Near the 600 Metres, TOP QUALITY hung out. In the Straight, LANDLORD had a tendency to get its head up and lay out. About the 200 Metres, HONG KONG STALLION, which was finishing the race off strongly, was bumped by SPLENDID PATROL which shifted in. TIM'S TONIC raced greenly throughout and hung out. The performance was considered unacceptable. Before TIM'S TONIC can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. After the race, it was reported that ASIAN EXPRESS had sustained a wound above its off side eye. The injury was reported to the Veterinary Surgeon by the Trainer after he had removed the horse's pacifier.
