Racing Incident Report

EXCEL KID was slowly away. HIGH SKY left the gates awkwardly and shifted out. About the 1600 Metres, EQUIKIT, which was pulling, was steadied to avoid CENTURY HORSE which was taken in by AUCASH which shifted in when only just clear. About the 800 Metres, RIVER DANCE, CENTURY HORSE and MASTER MAGIC were unnecessarily crowded for room between EXCEL KID and BON LA VIE (F Coetzee). The Stewards considered all the circumstances and submissions put by F Coetzee in relation to the incident and in the special circumstances of this case they decided not to take any direct action, but F Coetzee was severely reprimanded and told a similar type of riding from him will not be condoned. About the 600 Metres, CENTURY HORSE was steadied and shifted out to avoid the heels of BON LA VIE which was starting to give ground. About the 300 Metres, EASTERN EXPRESS was steadied and shifted out to avoid BON LA VIE which was giving ground. AUCASH was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
