Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the Start, it was noted that the tongue tie fitted to REFRESHINGLY had loosened. This was refitted before the horse was loaded. After the race, it was noted that REFRESHINGLY had lost its tongue tie. When the gates opened, SPLENDID BO BO bounded in the air and as a consequence of this lost ground. On jumping, GLASGOW KISS shifted out and bumped POWER OF SUCCESS. Also on jumping, REFRESHINGLY was restrained to a rearward position. Near the 800 Metres, ALL SATISFY and POWER OF SUCCESS were crowded for room by ACTIVE ACCOUNT (G Schofield) which shifted in when not clear. It was decided in the special circumstances of this case, no action would be taken, but G Schofield was severely reprimanded and told similar riding to this will not be condoned. About the 600 Metres, POWER OF SUCCESS was momentarily crowded for room between ALL SATISFY and GLASGOW KISS which shifted out from behind UNITY. D Dunn (POWER OF SUCCESS) said after the incident near the 600 Metres the horse in his opinion was reluctant to stretch out. Rounding the Home Turn, SPLENDID BO BO hung, then in the Straight hung in badly. About the 300 Metres, SOUNDS GOOD shifted out to improve and in doing so brushed WINNING DELIGHTS which in turn shifted ground and made contact with REFRESHINGLY. About the 200 Metres, SOUNDS GOOD, which was giving ground, was accidentally hit on the head by the whip of W C Marwing (WINNING DELIGHTS). Throughout the race, TREASURE STAR hung in, in the Straight hung in badly and proved difficult to ride out. SPLENDID BO BO and EQUUS ZEPHYRUS were sent for sampling.
