Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the Start, it was noted JUST TOO GOOD had a small amount of dried blood in its left nostril. The Veterinary Surgeon said the blood was from an unknown origin. After the necessary consultations, it was decided JUST TOO GOOD was suitable to race. When the gates opened, SPEED WINNER bounded in the air. At the start, WONDERFUL LIFE and JUST TOO GOOD bumped. ALLEZ ALLEZ left the gates somewhat awkwardly with its head turned, shifted out and bumped LEGEND'S GLORY. At about the 800 Metres, LEGEND'S GLORY shifted out slightly from behind COMFORT and bumped CHUK WAY which had been racing wide and continued to do so and without cover. Approaching the 700 Metres, LEAD TO WIN (K C Tsang) raced up onto the heels of BOUNTIFUL, then struck the heels of that horse, knuckled and nearly fell. ALLEZ ALLEZ, which was following, was checked as a consequence. K C Tsang was told he must allow himself more racing room. Just after the 700 Metres, BOUNTIFUL clipped the heels of COMFORT, knuckled and nearly fell. It was established that COMFORT shifted in slightly as JUST TOO GOOD shifted out slightly. The occurrence was in the opinion of the Stewards accidental and no action was taken. ALLEZ ALLEZ and SPEED WINNER were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that LEAD TO WIN had sustained multiple abrasions to its right hind cannon.
