Racing Incident Report

SURE FIT was withdrawn on 6.5.04 on veterinary grounds (lame left fore). Before being permitted to race again, SURE FIT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. MAGIC HANDS was slow to begin. On jumping, SUPREME RABBIT got its head up. Making the turn at the 1800 Metres, HELENE VITALITY, which throughout the race travelled three wide and without cover, proved difficult to settle. For a considerable distance after the 400 Metres, INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS was held up and unable to obtain clear running between CARACOLER and BEETHOVEN. Near the 200 Metres, SURVEYOR got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of ELEPHANT DANCE. In the Straight, SUPREME RABBIT hung in, obliging F Coetzee, its rider, to stop riding and straighten on two occasions. INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS and SUPREME RABBIT were sent for sampling. After the race, C Williams, the rider of MAGIC HANDS, expressed concern with the horse's action. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said there were no significant findings.
