Racing Incident Report

TRIUMPHANT UNICORN was withdrawn on 26.2.05 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, TRIUMPHANT UNICORN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After arriving at the Start, ASSET had its tongue tie refitted. ABLE PRINCE began awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall, causing C Soumillon, its rider, to become unbalanced. As a consequence, ABLE PRINCE lost ground. NATURAL BLITZ and ASSET were sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, NATURAL BLITZ was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a significant amount of mucus in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, NATURAL BLITZ will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, it was reported ASSET had bled from both nostrils. SILENT WITNESS and COUNTRY MUSIC were sent for sampling.
