Racing Incident Report

NOBLE WIND was a little slow to begin, then in the early stages raced wide and without cover and after the 1100 Metres was allowed to stride forward and cross to race outside the leader. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, ARMONDO was steadied away from the heels of FAT CHOY FOREVER. After the 1400 Metres, SOCRATES was steadied away from the heels of CROWNED GEM which itself was steadied away from the heels of FAT CHOY FOREVER which after crossing to the lead steadied the tempo. At the 1200 Metres, SMART HORSE got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of ARMONDO. After the 700 Metres, CROWNED GEM became unbalanced when racing tight inside CALIFORNIA HEART. Shortly after straightening, ARMONDO was steadied away from the heels of CALIFORNIA HEART. For a considerable distance after straightening, SOCRATES had difficulty obtaining clear running behind FAT CHOY FOREVER and inside NOBLE WIND. EASY GAME and LUCKY CHAMPION were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that ARMONDO had sustained an abrasion to the right front cannon. Before being allowed to race again, ARMONDO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
