Racing Incident Report

On jumping, SUPERNOVA and INDUSTRIAL EXPRESS were taken back. After the 1000 Metres, HANDSOME TARGET was steadied away from the heels of JOHNSON. In the early and middle stages, INDUSTRIAL EXPRESS proved difficult to settle. On straightening, MELLIFLUOUS was held up when awkwardly placed inside the heels of OSVALDO. At the 200 Metres, FORTUNE SPIRIT, which was giving ground, was steadied away from the heels of DR WELL which was carried in slightly by MELLIFLUOUS. HORACE’S LEGEND was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, HORACE’S LEGEND was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, HORACE’S LEGEND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. JOHNSON, FAT CHOY ICHIBAN and OSVALDO were sent for sampling.
