Racing Incident Report

1 2 COME FAST FAY FAY (K121) Made contact with the left side of its starting gate on jumping and shortly after was then hampered when crowded by SPARKLE AND GOLD which shifted in. Shortly after the start was steadied and shifted to the inside of MR GOOD VIBES to obtain a position closer to the rail. Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of MAJESTIC DELIGHT. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 8 MAJESTIC DELIGHT (K189) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 12 HE WAS ME (J535) Jumped awkwardly. Near the 500 Metres was steadied when crowded by COME FAST FAY FAY (R Kingscote) which shifted out. R Kingscote was advised to exercise more care. Approaching the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind COME FAST FAY FAY.
4 6 YEE CHEONG RAIDER (J176) No report.
5 1 SPARKLE AND GOLD (K259) Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when unable to improve between COME FAST FAY FAY and MAJESTIC DELIGHT which shifted out.
6 4 HAPPY BOYS (J545) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres. Again approaching the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of NOBLE DELUXE.
7 14 BINGO BABE (K115) Y L Chung advised that the instructions were to go forward and race in a similar manner to when it barrier trialed on a number of occasions in the lead up to today’s race.
8 3 ALWAYS MY FOLKS (J345) After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on ALWAYS MY FOLKS at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, ALWAYS MY FOLKS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
9 7 CHEER FOR SOUTH (H178) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
10 13 ISLAND GOLDEN (H018) No report.
11 10 TEAM HAPPY (J218) Jumped awkwardly and became unbalanced. Near the 200 Metres was inconvenienced when crowded between YEE CHEONG RAIDER and HAPPY BOYS which shifted out to obtain clear running.
12 11 MR GOOD VIBES (H180) No report.
13 5 NOBLE DELUXE (K052) A Atzeni could offer no excuse for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have a respiratory condition which requires further assessment.
14 9 RUN YES RUN (J264) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, RUN YES RUN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
