1 4 AEROVOLANIC (K400) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 14 SHOTGUN (K111) On jumping was bumped on the hindquarters by RED BRICK WARRIOR, resulting in SHOTGUN becoming unbalanced. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 1 ALL ROUND WINNER (K382) Raced keenly in the early stages. Near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid PROUD BOX. Near the 400 Metres was hampered when taken wider.
4 13 PROUD BOX (K487) Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and as a result made contact with RED BRICK WARRIOR. Approaching the 400 Metres was hampered when taken wider by MERLION which shifted out to improve.
5 11 SMART FAT CAT (K280) Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Raced keenly in the middle stages. For some distance near the 600 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from STAR SATYR. Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of ALL ROUND WINNER.
6 3 STAR SATYR (K231) No report.
7 10 RED BRICK WARRIOR (K580) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by PROUD BOX which jumped awkwardly and shifted out.
8 8 MERLION (L176) No report.
9 7 LUCKY BALERION (L125) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A Atzeni reported that his mount raced greenly, was still immature and would derive benefit from today’s experience. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY BALERION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
10 12 LUCKY FIELD (K292) For some distance near the 300 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of DAILY TROPHY.
11 5 DAILY TROPHY (H283) Bumped on jumping.
12 6 GRAND TURBO (L138) Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
13 2 WIN EASE (K384) No report.
14 9 A LA CHAMP (K179) Jumped awkwardly. From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. The performance of A LA CHAMP, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, A LA CHAMP will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
