1 7 FORTUNE LINK (L311) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 1 ENDEARED (H161) Making the Home Turn was steadied to avoid GHORGAN and as a result shifted out and made the Home Turn wider. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 5 ALL'S WELL (K294) C Y Ho pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 1000 Metres (see CHARMING LEGEND). Near the 500 Metres CHARMING LEGEND struck the heels of ALL’S WELL. C Y Ho report that after his mount was struck on its heels near the 500 Metres it commenced to race keenly and shortly after was shifted out to avoid OUTGATE. Near the 450 Metres ALL’S WELL became unbalanced when it made contact with CHARMING LEGEND. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
4 2 HEAVING (K576) Raced keenly in the middle stages and near the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid ENDEARED.
5 6 COMPLETE UNKNOWN (L219) Became fractious as the start was effected and as a result jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
6 11 POSITIVE SMILE (J467) No report.
7 9 PRAY FOR JUSTICE (K473) No report.
8 12 REFUSETOBEENGLISH (K362) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running.
9 10 FLASH CURRENT (J500) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 350 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running.
10 8 GHORGAN (K199) Near the 900 Metres, when racing keenly, was steadied to avoid CHARMING LEGEND which shifted in after being taken out. C L Chau stated that after making a forward move from the 600 Metres his mount made contact with CHARMING LEGEND shortly after and then on the Home Turn became badly unbalanced when it contacted with CHARMING LEGEND. He added subsequent to that incident GHORGAN finished the race off in a one-paced manner in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
11 4 OUTGATE (H113) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 3 CHARMING LEGEND (K127) C Y Ho (ALL’S WELL) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 1000 Metres he allowed his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of CHARMING LEGEND, resulting in CHARMING LEGEND losing its rightful running and being checked to avoid ALL’S WELL. C Y Ho was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Sunday, 19 April 2026 at Sha Tin. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his very good race riding record. After the 600 Metres CHARMING LEGEND commenced to race keenly which resulted in it having to be steadied to avoid ALL’S WELL near the 500 Metres. J Moreira reported that as a result CHARMING LEGEND became positioned too close to the heels of ALL’S WELL and struck the heels of ALL’S WELL on a number of occasions thereafter. Near the 500 Metres was shifted to the outside of ALL’S WELL and made contact with GHORGAN. A short distance later CHARMING LEGEND became badly unbalanced when buffeted for room between GHORGAN and ALL’S WELL (C Y Ho) which shifted out when being steadied to avoid OUTGATE when positioned too close to that runner’s heels. As the Stewards were satisfied that Jockey Ho was obliged to shift out to avoid the heels of OUTGATE, no direct action was taken, however, he was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. J Moreira stated that after being checked near the 1000 Metres and badly crowded on the Home Turn CHARMING LEGEND was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
