4 8 CALIFORNIA BAY (K364) Jumped only fairly and despite being ridden along in the early stages was unable to hold a more forward position.
5 12 LOVING VIBES (J359) L Hewitson advised that his instructions were to hold a forward position. He said just prior to the start being effected LOVING VIBES lunged forward and after then being crowded at the start his mount lost ground and settled further back than intended.
6 11 CALL ME SUCCESS (K462) Shortly after the start shifted out and made contact with LOVING VIBES.
7 5 GOOD CHAP (J499) No report.
8 6 ONE MAN SHOW (K409) No report.
9 9 RISING FROM ASHES (G209) Jumped awkwardly. Near the 800 Metres when endeavouring to obtain a position behind TROPHY RAIDER was checked when TROPHY RAIDER shifted out slightly. J Orman stated that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover from the 800 Metres and this was the only reason he could offer for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
10 7 TROPHY RAIDER (M020) Jumped awkwardly. In the early stages raced keenly and near the 800 Metres was awkwardly placed behind WOLF COMING and shifted out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 3 WOLF COMING (K353) C L Chau reported that from the 500 Metres he became concerned there was something amiss with the horse and as a result he elected not to continue to pressure his mount. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of WOLF COMING, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, WOLF COMING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.
12 10 NOBLE DELUXE (K052) M L Yeung could offer no explanation for his mount weakening in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. The performance of NOBLE DELUXE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, NOBLE DELUXE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
