Rider reported that after racing outside the lead, when placed under pressure in the Home Straight, once his mount improved to the front it hung out and did not respond to his riding before giving ground in the Home Straight. Trainer stated that, in his opinion, the horse races best when able to obtain cover. He added that with the early and middle stages being run inside of standard time he felt this was one of the reasons why the horse was not able to finish the race off in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings Performance was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 308.
