He said from his wide barrier, although the pace of the event was run outside of standard time, he was able to relax the horse during the race by settling in a position behind midfield - Race 576.

Approaching the 800M was then steadied when crowded. Over the final 50M could not be ridden out when racing in restricted room. Rider stated that his mount was reluctant to race inside other horses and after settling back in the field found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight, particularly with the early stages of the event being run outside of standard time. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 597.
