He said the horse raced more forward when it jumped well and was caught wide in the early stages which required its rider to continue forward to avoid covering additional ground - Race 023.
2 K353  WOLF COMING  01/04/2026   571  WOLF COMING (K353) rider reported that his mount resented the kickback in the early and middle stages and once clear in the Home Straight finished the race off well. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. The next day was reported to be lame in its left front leg. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 571.
3 L280  COPARTNER A I  27/06/2026   807  COPARTNER A I (L280) jumped only fairly. Leaving the 800M after being crossed by a runner then raced keenly and became unbalanced when it was steadied to avoid that runner. Raced greenly in the Home Straight and near the 400M became unbalanced when disappointed for clear running. Was then held up for clear running until near the 300M - Race 807.
4 L360  FAITHFUL WARRIOR  07/06/2026   760  FAITHFUL WARRIOR (L360) proved difficult to load. After being placed in the starting gates reared, struck its head and was withdrawn by order of Stewards acting on vet advice. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Starter in a barrier practice prior to performing to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 760.
5 L297  LEAN ERA  04/07/2026   833  LEAN ERA (L297) when questioned rider stated that his instructions were to settle his mount where comfortable and not to make a long run around the field to ensure that his mount was able to finish the race off in the Home Straight. He said from the outside barrier his mount commenced awkwardly and as a result he elected to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages where his mount settled at the rear of the field. When questioned regarding his riding rounding the Home Turn and if there was an opportunity to follow a runner and improve to that runner’s outside on entering the Home Straight, rider stated that whilst he considered that option, having regard to his instructions, he elected to improve to the inside of that runner with a view to following another runner into the Home Straight. He said when another runner did not improve as he expected and the aforementioned runner maintained its position on the outside, that resulted in his mount being held up for clear running between the 400M and the 250M where it was able to then secure clear running. He added that when placed under pressure from the 250M his mount finished the race off strongly. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued and expressed satisfaction with the manner that rider rode the horse. After considering his explanation and the instructions from Trainer, the Stewards found the tactics adopted by rider were reasonable in the circumstances - Race 833.

7 J043  SILVER SPURS  23/09/2026   38  SILVER SPURS (J043) rider stated that his mount failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the Home Straight and raced in a disappointing manner. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 038.

10 L156  SHANDONG SPIRIT  22/03/2026   538  SHANDONG SPIRIT (L156) jumped only fairly and then was crowded. Near the 1100M was steadied when crowded. The next day was reported to be lame in its left hind leg. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 538.
