13 K198  VON BAER  27/09/2026   46  VON BAER (K198) when caught wide in the early stages was steadied to obtain a position with cover. Leaving the 600M commenced to race keenly and was steadied. Rider stated that he was instructed to obtain cover on the horse which resulted in his mount settling back in the field. He said after obtaining a position with cover his mount found it difficult to make up ground from that position, particularly when the pace of the race quickened from the 500M. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 046.

He said his mount raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event when unable to cross runners to its inside before giving ground in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 029.
