When rider declined to lodge a protest/objection and the Stewards were satisfied that there were not sufficient grounds, having regard to the manner in which both horses finished the race off, weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge - Race 864.

When questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer confirmed that with a lack of pace engaged in the race he had instructed rider to go forward with the option to lead if the pace was not strong. He said he attributed the performance to the horse being up in distance and being able to race on the pace, particularly with the middle stages being run outside of standard time. He further added that the horse had also derived a fitness benefit from its two previous race starts in Hong Kong - Race 792.
