Background:
The father and son training partnership of Carlos & Yann Lerner has enjoyed Group 1 successes this year with Prix du Jockey Club winner Love De Vega and Bayerisches Zuchtrennen victor Calif. Carlos also tasted success in the 2001 Prix du Jockey Club with Anabaa Blue. Yann, on the other hand, rode for nearly ten years on the flat and finished fourth in the 2009 Prix de Diane. Since retiring from riding in 2010, Yann has been involved in the training of racehorses with his father Carlos in Maisons-Lafitte in 2013. Their major success in 2024 includes the G3 Prix de Psyche with Almara.
