A racehorse trainer in Bahrain since 1984, Haider Ebrahim Shaheen is one of Bahrain’s leading trainers with an exceptional winning strike rate of 16.5%. He saddled his first horse on Dubai World Cup night this year, and his trainee Goemon finished ninth in the Dubai Turf behind race victor Soul Rush. Prior to that, Goemon won the 2025 Listed Bahrain Mile and 2025 Listed Al Methaq Mile. Goemon also placed third to Ascoli Pisceno in the G2 1351 Turf Sprint in Riyadh. He also has many winners in big meetings in Bahrain such as the Crown Prince Cup, Kings Cup, the Bahrain Oaks and Owners Cup.
