Racing Incident Report
Before being presented in the Parade Ring, GOLDEN WARRIOR had an adjustment made to its off side hind plate. EXTRAORDINARY missed the start. GOOD SPIRIT jumped awkwardly with its head up and shifted ground. BRILLIANT was slowly away, then hung out throughout. Rounding the turn, FRAT RAT hung in. About the 200 Metres, GOLDEN WARRIOR and GOOD SPIRIT came together. S King (TOP WINNER) said the horse left the gates well, in the early stages he elected to steady from inside CAPITAL STAR and raced on that horse's outside. He said however TOP WINNER, which was having its first start at Happy Valley, was inclined to lay out throughout and in the Straight when put under pressure did not respond as expected.
