Racing Incident Report
MILLENNIUM STAR was slowly away, was then further inconvenienced when crowded for room between TEA FOR YOU and CHIEF'S FORTUNE, both of which shifted ground. Turning out of the Straight the first time, CHIEF'S FORTUNE was steadied from the heels of TRY YOUR BEST. Rounding the turn, ME AND YOU hung out, in the early part of the Straight made contact with PLENTY SUCCESS. Near the 300 Metres, W Woods (NINGBO WARRIOR) dropped his whip. When questioned, Apprentice S K Sit (JUMBO LUCK) explained he had been asked by the Trainer to allow the horse to settle and if possible to ride it somewhere about midfield. He said JUMBO LUCK settled satisfactorily out of the gates, but then when the pace quickened in the early stages JUMBO LUCK could not keep up and got further back than planned. He said along the back he shifted JUMBO LUCK to the outside to ensure it had an uninterrupted running and endeavour to go forward, but was unable to do so.
