Racing Incident Report

About the 700 Metres, ALF was awkward on the hindquarters of OUR CLASS. Near the 700 Metres, SUPREME CAT was checked when awkwardly placed close to the heels of MIGHTY AND GOLD and tight inside KOWLOON PRIDE. Shortly after this, ALL THE GLORY became unbalanced when momentarily crowded by MIGHTY AND GOLD. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, TRADER JOE hung out. About 100 Metres out, ALL THE GLORY, which was making some ground, was steadied when awkward behind CERTAINTY which was giving ground. In the run to the winning post, OUR CLASS shifted out. Throughout the race, SUCCESS MAGIC hung in. When asked about the disappointing performance of BOND, E Saint-Martin said during the parade the horse in his opinion did appear to be unusually relaxed. He said the horse missed the start slightly and was then inconvenienced by CERTAINTY which shifted out. He said despite his efforts in the early stages, BOND would not stretch out and got a long way back. In the Straight, he said he was able to obtain running through the field and the horse did make some ground, but was generally disappointing. He was not able to put forward any real explanation for the run. CERTAINTY and BOND were sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was reported that SUPREME CAT had bled from both nostrils.
