Racing Incident Report

Before being presented in the Parade Ring, SHAXI FORTUNE had its near side front plate refitted. SURVEY GENERAL jumped awkwardly with its head up, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of RED ZONE. SLOTOP jumped awkwardly, threw its head about, shifted out and bumped SUN SHINE RIVER, then near the 800 Metres, SLOTOP, which had a tendency to be pulling, was checked away from the heels of FLORAL JOY. In the early stages, HORSE OF FAME proved very difficult to settle and got its head up. Rounding the turn near the 800 Metres, TRIUMPHANT FEELING was tight inside SWEETHEART. About the 200 Metres, TRIUMPHANT FEELING, which was running on, changed course to avoid COLOURFUL ERA. To find running in the Straight, SURVEY GENERAL shifted in. In the run to the winning post, SHAXI FORTUNE hung out. SWEETHEART, which was eased down in the Straight, was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. He said the horse had an irregular heart beat. Before the horse can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subject to an official veterinary examination. SURVEY GENERAL was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
