Racing Incident Report
When the gates opened, MIGHTY AND GOLD bounded in the air, as a consequence missed the break. SOLO left the gates badly, threw its head about. MONEY was slowly away. About the 200 Metres, JIMMY THE GREEK was disappointed for running between GET IT EASY and CLASSIC JESTER. Apprentice Y T Cheng (MY HONOUR) explained rounding the Home Turn he elected to maintain running behind CLASSIC JESTER until after straightening as he considered it was in the best interests of the horse, with the weight that it was being asked to carry and the manner in which it was travelling, to race with cover for as long as possible and to avoid covering extra ground on the turn. The explanations were accepted.
