Racing Incident Report
On jumping, MONARDS shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of HORNET. HAPPY FOREVER jumped awkwardly with its head up, then shifted out. About the 300 Metres, FULL METAL JACKET, which was starting to make ground, was checked, shifted out abruptly to avoid HAPPY FOREVER which was stopping. After the 200 Metres, STRIKERS was checked and shifted out when disappointed for running between GOLDEN DUKE and HORNET which was giving ground. Throughout the race, MONARDS had a tendency to lay out. C Williams (EN RAPPORT) said after fully testing the horse in the early part of the Straight, he did think it was showing signs of soreness in front, as a consequence over about the last 200 Metres he did not ride the horse out. Before being allowed to race again, EN RAPPORT will be subject to an official veterinary examination.
