Racing Incident Report
HOLLYWOOD STAR jumped awkwardly, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of BIG TREASURE. Near the 1000 Metres STARTRICE was steadied when disappointed for running inside SAINT TAK. ALWAYS MATCH made the first turn awkwardly and got its head up. About the 600 Metres FLYING KNIGHT which was racing tight inside SHAXI TREASURE, brushed the running rail. SAINT TAK which was following, struck the running rail. In the middle stages PROLIFIC WINNER hung in. After straightening REFRESHINGLY was shifted in abruptly to avoid FAME AND WEALTH which shifted out. FLYING KNIGHT shifted out in the run to the post, this caused some inconvenience to SHAXI TREASURE. Throughout the race SHAXI TREASURE hung in. R Fradd (SAINT TAK) said he intended to improve inside FLYING KNIGHT early in the Straight after that horse had shifted out on straightening. He said that FLYING KNIGHT shifted back toward the rail, he was baulked for some distance and unable to go forward until about 100 Metres out when he was assured that comfortable running was available he then pushed SAINT TAK through and rode it out to the line. After the race it was reported that STARTRICE was bleeding from both nostrils.
