Racing Incident Report

Just after the start, ORIENTAL TREASURE was checked when crowded
between DIAMOND AND GOLD and REBEL LEADER. From a difficult gate,
FINANCIAL SUPREME was obliged to travel wide throughout and at most stages
without any cover. KING OF JEWELRY also was caught wide. About the 1000
Metres, the shoulder of CONCERT STAR bumped the hindquarters of LOMOND'S
FAY. In the middle stages, CRAIG'S PRIDE had a tendency to get its head on the
side and lay in. About the 800 Metres, REBEL LEADER was shifted in across the
heels of HAPPY CHAMP into a position closer to the rail and behind BORN
DRAGON. After the 600 Metres, CONCERT STAR and KOWLOON PRIDE
bumped. Near the 500 Metres, HAPPY CHAMP was steadied when crowded
between REBEL LEADER and GOLDEN DUKE. As a consequence of this, some
inconvenience was caused to MANY HAPPY RETURNS. Rounding the Home
Turn, GOLDEN DUKE hung out, this caused some inconvenience to HAPPY
CHAMP and to MANY HAPPY RETURNS. REBEL LEADER made the Home
Turn awkwardly with its head on the side and in a difficult position close to the
heels of FINANCIAL SUPREME. Then in the Straight, REBEL LEADER did not
obtain clear running until approaching the winning post. As a consequence of this,
the horse was not properly tested out. On straightening, DIAMOND AND GOLD
shifted out. As a result of this, FINANCIAL SUPREME, which was weakening,
became unbalanced and got its head up. After the 200 Metres, VICTORY MOUNT
was shifted abruptly to the inside of KOWLOON PRIDE to find running. Before
ORIENTAL TREASURE can race again, it will be subject to an official veterinary
examination. C Brown (KOWLOON PRIDE) said after the 200 Metres he was
concerned with the action of the horse. Because of this, he did not ride it out to the
winning post as he normally would. Before racing again, KOWLOON PRIDE will
be subject to an official veterinary examination. BORN DRAGON was sent for
clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
