Racing Incident Report
BEST NEWS was slowly away. Near the winning post the first time, HOLLYWOOD STAR was steadied from the heels of SPECTACULAR WIN. In the early stages, PROSPEROUS DYNASTY, which was being steadied to take up a rearward position, became unbalanced and threw its head about. Near the 200 Metres, BEST NEWS (W C Marwing) shifted out, this caused some inconvenience to TEA FOR YOU and to SUPER STAR. W C Marwing was told he must exercise far more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. D Bonilla was unable to offer any explanation for the poor performance of CIGAR KING. He said although obliged to travel wide, at no stage was the horse on the bit and was very disappointing. In all the circumstances, the performance of CIGAR KING was considered to be unacceptable. Before the horse can race again, it must perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subject to an official veterinary examination. CIGAR KING was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
