Racing Incident Report

SEATTLE SUN left the gates awkwardly. LUCK AND FORTUNE jumped with its head up, shifted out abruptly and bumped KINGDOM OF GOLD. Rounding the first turn, VICTORY MOUNT got its head up when awkwardly placed on the heels of CRAIG'S PRIDE. Near the winning post the first time, VICTORY MOUNT bounded in the air. In the early stages, LUCKSWELL proved difficult to settle. Near the 1200 Metres, CRAIG'S PRIDE was momentarily awkward between GREAT CHIEF and BELLAGIO which had its head on the side and was racing awkwardly behind GOOD NEWS. In the early part of the Straight, BELLAGIO continued to race ungenerously with its head up and momentarily shifted in. Near the 800 Metres, GREAT CHIEF, which was already giving ground, was crowded by CRAIG'S PRIDE. Also near the 800 Metres, FULL THROTTLE was steadied when tightened between SEATTLE SUN and BIG MAC which got its head on the side and hung in, then about the 400 Metres was shifted in abruptly to find running and go forward. Near the 600 Metres, VICTORY MOUNT was steadied and shifted in from behind BELLAGIO. From a difficult gate, LUCK AND FORTUNE was caught wide throughout and was not able to find any cover and about the 600 Metres brushed with EQUIKIT which shifted out from behind KINGDOM OF GOLD which was stopping. VICTORY MOUNT was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
