Racing Incident Report
JADE RUYI jumped awkwardly and then lost further ground when crowded between GUESS WHAT and QUI VIVRA VERRA which on jumping shifted in. Turning out of the Straight the first time, HAPPY TYCOON was unbalanced and shifted ground when awkward on the heels of SPEEDY FORWARD. In the middle stages, PROSPEROUS DYNASTY had a tendency to over-race and proved difficult to settle. Near the 600 Metres, GUESS WHAT, which was giving ground, shifted out away from NOBLE BOY. As a consequence of this, some inconvenience was caused to JADE RUYI which shifted out, this hampered PARADISE CHASE and obliged that horse to race considerably wider rounding the turn. About the 200 Metres, SPEEDY FORWARD (E Saint-Martin) shifted out from behind BOLD VICTORY to go forward, in doing so bumped QUI VIVRA VERRA which in turn shifted ground and caused some inconvenience to NOBLE BOY. No direct action was taken, but E Saint-Martin was told he must exercise far more care when shifting ground. PARADISE CHASE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was reported that JADE RUYI had sustained a laceration to the back of its near side hind cannon about the fetlock joint.
