Racing Incident Report
VICTORY COUNTER missed the start slightly, then shortly afterwards was checked off the heels of NOBLEDASH which was taken in by COMPANION which on leaving the gates shifted ground abruptly. MARK OF EXCELLENCE was slowly away. CANNY'S PRIDE jumped awkwardly, then raced greenly, particularly in the early stages. Near the 800 Metres, SNIPPEDYDOODA, which was being steadied to take up a position behind CHEROKEE EXPRESS, became momentarily unbalanced and shifted in abruptly, as a consequence MARTIAL HERO was checked. The occurrence was accidental. Rounding the turn and in the Straight, MARTIAL HERO hung in. Throughout the event, METRO FLYER raced greenly and on occasions shifted ground.
