Racing Incident Report
PEACEFUL CENTURY was withdrawn on 20.11.01 on veterinary grounds (lame near fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter SUPER GOAL STRIKER (B Marcus). Before racing again, PEACEFUL CENTURY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HIGH SKY was inclined to be leaning against the near side of its starting gate and jumped awkwardly. About the 1200 Metres, EVER GLORY was unbalanced when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUPER GOAL STRIKER. About the 600 Metres, SUPER GOAL STRIKER was steadied to avoid SLOTOP which began to give ground. About the 500 Metres, TELECOM CHIEF and MILLENNIUM SUPREME came together. For some time after this, MILLENNIUM SUPREME raced tight outside TELECOM CHIEF. Then about the 400 Metres, TELECOM CHIEF was steadied and lost its position when SUPER GOAL STRIKER shifted out from behind SLOTOP which was continuing to give ground. Just on straightening, EVER GLORY was unbalanced and struck the running rail when endeavouring to avoid SLOTOP. TELECOM CHIEF and EVER GLORY were sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
