Racing Incident Report
Prior to being presented for the parade, ROUND THE WORLD had an adjustment made to its near side hind plate. When being steadied near the winning post the first time, NEW PLANET got its head up. In the early stages, PEARL AND GOLD proved very difficult to settle. About 100 Metres out, ARRIBA-ARRIBA was steadied and shifted in to find running. For most of the race, AMERICAN CHAMPION raced wide without any cover and over the concluding stages dropped out. In the run to the winning post, FRAME'S PEOPLE shifted out and on one occasion brushed with ROUND THE WORLD. CHOCOLATE TYCOON and AMERICAN CHAMPION were sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
