Racing Incident Report
After arriving at the course, as instructed by the Stewards, NO COMPETITOR was examined by the Senior Veterinary Surgeon who said he was unable to find any abnormalities. WINNING WAYS and PERFECT SHADOW were both slowly away. ACCLAMATION missed the break slightly, then just after the start was bumped by MISSION SEALED which on leaving the gates shifted out. Near the 1000 Metres, WINNING WAYS was checked when crowded between MISSION SEALED and PERFECT SHADOW which made the turn awkwardly and shifted out. About the 600 Metres, FOREVER VICTORY was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of NO COMPETITOR and tight inside JET JACKSON. Approaching the 400 Metres, PERFECT SHADOW was steadied when momentarily awkward just inside the heels of MULTI-WINNER and then made the latter part of the Home Turn awkwardly. About the 200 Metres, LIGHTNING BOLT became unbalanced when being shifted out abruptly from behind HIN YUEN'S UNICORN. G Mossé (HIN YUEN'S UNICORN) said in the run to the line the horse was making unusual breathing noises. HIN YUEN'S UNICORN was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who could find no abnormalities. An endoscopic examination was carried out and this also failed to reveal any abnormalities. AMITY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
