Racing Incident Report
ASCOT FANS left the gates very awkwardly with its head up and just after the start bumped the hindquarters of PROJECTSTAR which was taken in slightly by MERRY MERRY. As a consequence of this, ASCOT FANS became badly unbalanced and lost a lot of ground. GLORY HERO missed the start badly. Just after the start, MERRY MERRY was steadied to avoid the heels of CLASSIC JESTER (Apprentice M W Leung) which shifted in when not quite clear. Apprentice M W Leung was reprimanded and told he must exercise far more care when shifting ground. In the early stages, IT'S MY DAY hung in, then made the turn awkwardly and shifted out. During the race, SNIPPETYIYEA raced greenly and made the turn very awkwardly. Rounding the turn, EVER SUCCESS hung out. About the 300 Metres, ASCOT FANS was unbalanced when close to the heels of EVER SUCCESS. F Coetzee (SUPER FAST) said the horse is now rising through the ratings, in the past had shown its best form when able to take up a position in front on the rail. He said tonight with speed drawn inside him, he was unable to do this and he was also of the view the track conditions tonight did not suit SUPER FAST.
