Racing Incident Report
Before being presented in the parade, ABLE WIN had an adjustment made to its near side front plate and BORN DRAGON to its off side hind plate. HIGH SKY left the gates awkwardly. About the 500 Metres, SUPER CENTURY and DANRIVA bumped. Also about the 500 Metres, CUPID was momentarily crowded when tight inside BORN DRAGON. On straightening, REWARD and DANRIVA bumped due mainly to REWARD shifting out. About the 200 Metres, Apprentice M W Leung (LEGITIMATE) dropped his whip. Also about the 200 Metres, BORN DRAGON became unbalanced and dipped. C Williams (REWARD) explained the horse hung out tonight as it has done previously. He said in the early part of the Straight he pulled the whip on REWARD, but the horse immediately got its head up, then hung out badly. He felt he had no alternative but to put the whip away and endeavour to ride the horse out as best he could hands and heels to the line. After the race, it was noted that BORN DRAGON had lost its off side front plate and that ABLE WIN had lost its near side front plate.
