Racing Incident Report

OLYMPIC GOLD was withdrawn on 4.10.02 on veterinary grounds (skin infection left hock). DESERT STORM was slowly away. When the gates opened, HIDDEN DRAGON bounded in the air, then in the run to the line shifted out. SNIPPEDYDOODA, which had its head turned to the left side and close to the uprights, came from the gates awkwardly. Just after the start, RUN AND WIN and KEV BUSHIDO came together. In the early stages, RUN AND WIN proved somewhat difficult to settle and shifted a lot of ground. About the 400 Metres, EASTERN PURPLE was steadied when disappointed for running between KEV BUSHIDO and SNIPPEDYDOODA. After the 400 Metres, SNIPPEDYDOODA was checked when crowded between HELENE ELEGANCE which was hanging in and KEV BUSHIDO which shifted out away from RUN AND WIN. In the circumstances, no action was taken. Throughout the race, HELENE ELEGANCE hung in. CHARIOT OF STORM, ANABATIK and HIDDEN DRAGON were sent for sampling.
