Racing Incident Report

BEAMING RIVER missed the start slightly and was further inconvenienced by BUENO BUENO which on jumping shifted in abruptly. The crowding to BEAMING RIVER was accentuated by STAR OF TAI PO shifting out. From a difficult gate, SWEETIE was steadied on jumping and endeavoured to find a position with cover. From the outside gate, MR PRESIDENT was immediately steadied across behind the field to take up a position at the rear but on the rail. Near the 1200 Metres, BEAMING RIVER got its head up when awkwardly placed just inside the heels of BUENO BUENO. Then in the early part of the Straight, BEAMING RIVER was awkward when just inside the heels of MULTIPERFECTION. Near the 400 Metres, PAR AVION shifted out from behind STAR OF TAI PO and bumped MULTIPERFECTION. About the 200 Metres, WORLD STAR was momentarily crowded between GUSCOTT and BEAMING RIVER which shifted in. For a short distance after the 200 Metres, MR PRESIDENT was awkward when attempting to improve between MULTIPERFECTION and SWEETIE. About right on the winning post, SWEETIE and MULTIPERFECTION came together. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY was examined by the Veterinary Officer. An endoscopic examination was carried out. The Veterinary Officer did say the horse was not making an abnormal breathing noise, but there was an indication to him that FOR YOUR EYES ONLY was suffering from a disorder of the larynx. He said this condition will be investigated further. BUENO BUENO and BEAMING RIVER were sent for sampling.
