Racing Incident Report

As the start was effected, BOWMAN'S CROSSING became fractious, lunged forward, broke open the front gates of its stall, consequently BOWMAN'S CROSSING was slow to begin. On jumping, SURVEYOR was checked when crowded for room by BEVERLY GREEN which shifted in abruptly. JAZZ BEAT began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped HO CHOI. In the early stages, VICTORY WARRIOR, SELF FLIT and JAZZ BEAT proved difficult to settle. From an outside barrier, KIDDYLAND was immediately steadied and shifted across behind runners to a position on the rail but at the rear. When being steadied, KIDDYLAND got its head up on a number of occasions. At the 900 Metres, BOWMAN'S CROSSING, which had commenced to pull, was steadied away from the heels of BEVERLY GREEN. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, RIVER DANCER got its head up and hung out. Making the Home Turn, FANTASY hung out and just prior to straightening was bumped by BEVERLY GREEN which shifted out. Also making the Home Turn, RIVER DANCER, SURVEYOR, which was giving ground, and ELEGANT FASHION were carried wider by BOWMAN'S CROSSING which shifted to the outside of FANTASY to go forward. For some distance approaching and passing the 200 Metres, KIDDYLAND had difficulty obtaining clear running. SELF FLIT and BOWMAN'S CROSSING were sent for sampling.
