Racing Incident Report
While being transported to the course, SUPREME MOLLY sustained a mild abrasion to the right hip. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, trotted up and passed suitable to race. When proceeding to the Start and just prior to arriving at the barrier, SUPREME MOLLY reared and became cast over the inside running rail. Acting on veterinary advice that SUPREME MOLLY was not suitable to race, the Stewards ordered its withdrawal. When SUPREME MOLLY became cast, WISDOM EXPRESS was bumped into by another runner. WISDOM EXPRESS was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after the necessary consultations was considered suitable to race. As the start was effected, HIN YUEN'S UNICORN lunged forward, broke open its front gates, then lost its footing behind. As a consequence, HIN YUEN'S UNICORN lost a significant amount of ground at the start. WORK HARD was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, SIGHT FIRST was steadied when crowded for room between JOYFUL MASTER and GOOD FRIENDS, both of which shifted ground. From the outside barrier, WISDOM EXPRESS was immediately steadied to a rearward position. Just prior to straightening, FORTUNE MAPLE and SIR OCTAVIUS bumped. Shortly after straightening, S K Sit (WORK HARD) dropped his left side rein. He took some time to re-gather his rein. GOLDEN STRIDE and SIR OCTAVIUS were sent for sampling.
