Racing Incident Report
SMILEY WIN was slow to begin. UNIVERSAL PEGASUS began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, FORTUNE TONE was crowded for room between REFRESHINGLY and WELL CONTEND which shifted in abruptly. When hit with the whip after the 400 Metres, FORTUNE TONE got its head up and appeared reluctant to stride out. Over the final 400 Metres, AFFAIRE D'AMOUR hung in. After the 300 Metres, UNIVERSAL PEGASUS shifted out abruptly. Over the final 300 Metres, HYDROGEN POWER hung in. HYDROGEN POWER was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, HYDROGEN POWER was examined by the Veterinary Officer. An endoscopic examination was carried out. This showed the horse to be a "roarer". GORGEOUS YEARS and SMILEY WIN were sent for sampling.
