Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the Start, it was noted SING A SONG had blood in its mouth. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said the blood originated from a small laceration to the tongue and in his opinion was suitable to race. SING A SONG, which was standing badly with its head turned to the right side, began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped KING PALM. RISING WIN began awkwardly. On jumping, ABLE EAGLE bounded in the air. GLORIOUS RHYTHM began awkwardly, bumped the outside gate of its stall, then was ridden along into a forward position near the lead, however, was obliged to race wide and without cover. At the 800 Metres, LOK WAH SUCCESS was momentarily steadied away from the heels of HIN YUEN'S UNICORN. In the Straight, THE GREATEST was inclined to lay in. The performance of NIC'S CUTE, which tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before the horse will be permitted to race again, it must perform competitively in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SING A SONG was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, SING A SONG, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said there were no significant findings except for the small laceration to the tongue. The performance of SING A SONG was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, SING A SONG will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ABLE EAGLE and AMBITION were sent for sampling.
