Racing Incident Report
After arriving at the Start, D Whyte (GLASGOW KISS) expressed concern over the horse's action during its preliminary. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and found to be lame in the right fore leg. Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of GLASGOW KISS. Before being allowed to race again, GLASGOW KISS will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. MAGIC TOUCH and LUCKY BIRD were slow to begin. Shortly after the start, FORTUNE TONE got its head up on a number of occasions. Also shortly after the start, CONGEE KING, DANZIGFIRE and GRAND STAR were crowded for room inside WIN FORTUNE (K C Tsang) which from a wide barrier was being ridden along and shifted in at an acute angle. K C Tsang was severely reprimanded and advised against shifting ground in such a manner. K C Tsang explained at the 800 Metres he elected to steady his mount when it became apparent to him that CONGEE KING would cross to the fence and lead. When WIN FORTUNE was steadied, inconvenience was caused to a number of runners, the main sufferers being GRAND STAR and DANZIGFIRE which were steadied and REFRESHINGLY and WINMARK which were checked. No action was taken. In the middle stages, NEW DYNASTY hung out. Near the winning post, CONGEE KING shifted out. This caused WIN FORTUNE to be carried wider and as a result crowding occurred on its outside on the winning post to MAGIC TOUCH, FANTASTICO and WELL CONTEND. FANTASTICO, CONGEE KING and WIN FORTUNE were sent for sampling.
