Racing Incident Report
NIC'S CUTE was withdrawn on 16.5.03 on veterinary grounds (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter PLENTY OF LUCK (S K Sit). PLENTY OF LUCK was subsequently withdrawn on 17.5.03 on veterinary grounds (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter SUNNY RIVIERA (Y T Cheng). Before being allowed to race again, NIC'S CUTE and PLENTY OF LUCK will both be required to pass an official veterinary examination. On jumping, AMICABLE and FLYING SUCCESS bumped. Also on jumping, SUNNY RIVIERA got its head up. FLYING SUCCESS made the turn near the 800 Metres awkwardly and shifted out. This caused some inconvenience to SMILING FOREST. Near the 800 Metres, THE WORLD OF LOVE got its head on the side, hung in and was steadied away from the heels of PORTER RICKS which shifted out slightly. At the 800 Metres, SUNNY RIVIERA got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of FLASH HARRY (R Fradd) which shifted in slightly when not quite clear. FLYING SUCCESS which was following, was steadied in consequence. R Fradd was reprimanded and advised to exercise care. Making the Home Turn, CHEERFUL FORTUNE hung out. This caused FOUR ACES to be inconvenienced and carried wider. Near the winning post, SUNNY RIVIERA, which was closing the race off, was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of DOUBLE HAPPINESS which was giving ground. In the Straight, FLASH HARRY lay in. FLASH HARRY was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, FLASH HARRY was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No significant findings were made. CHEERFUL FORTUNE and SMILING FOREST were sent for sampling.
