Racing Incident Report
As the gates opened, LUCKY LUCKY put its head down and was a little slow to begin, then was immediately checked when crowded for room between SUPERSONIC and FANTASTICO which on jumping bounded in the air and shifted out abruptly. BOXING DAY was slow to begin, then shortly afterwards was checked when crowded for room between ASIA STAR which shifted out slightly and BELONG TO US which shifted in. CHIU CHOW HERO began awkwardly and bumped the inside gate of its stall. SMILEY WIN was slow to begin. Near the 1100 Metres, BELONG TO US was steadied when crowded for room between ASIA STAR and FAT CHOY TREASURE which shifted in when only just clear. In the early stages, PLEASANT SUCCESS proved difficult to settle, then making the turn after the 600 Metres raced three wide without cover. Near the 200 Metres, LUCKY LUCKY was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running inside BOXING DAY. Near the 100 Metres, CHIU CHOW HERO was momentarily steadied when crowded for room by SMILEY WIN (C Williams) which shifted out when not quite clear. C Williams was advised to exercise more care. After the 100 Metres, SUPERSONIC, which was giving ground, was steadied when close to the heels of SMILEY WIN which shifted out. ASIA STAR was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of ASIA STAR after the race did not show any significant findings. LUCKY LUCKY, FAT CHOY TREASURE and WINWIN COMBINATION were sent for sampling.
