Racing Incident Report

BLACK CARBINE began awkwardly, bumped the inside gate of its stall, then made contact with DASH FOR VICTORIES. ENORMOUS WAY began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped MONZA KING. On jumping, VENETIAN MASTER got its head up. MAMOUSKA and DEEP PURPLE were slow to begin. At the 1300 Metres, DASH FOR VICTORIES was momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of BLACK CARBINE (J Quinn) which shifted in when not quite clear. J Quinn was advised to exercise more care. In the early part of the Straight, SUNNY DESERT was held up and unable to obtain clear running. After the 400 Metres, DASH FOR VICTORIES, which had commenced to give ground, was bumped by DEEP PURPLE which shifted out to improve. At the 200 Metres, MAMOUSKA, which was commencing to give ground, and SUNNY DESERT were momentarily crowded for room by DEEP PURPLE which shifted in slightly. After the 100 Metres, DEEP PURPLE shifted out abruptly towards VENETIAN MASTER. Because of this, A Delpech stopped riding and straightened. Just prior to the winning post, DEEP PURPLE again shifted out towards VENETIAN MASTER and because of this A Delpech again stopped riding and straightened. At the 50 Metres, LOK WAH TREASURE, which was giving ground, was momentarily steadied away from the heels of ENORMOUS WAY. Throughout the race, LOK WAH TREASURE raced wide and without cover. MONZA KING, SUNNY RIVIERA and VENETIAN MASTER were sent for sampling.
