Racing Incident Report

NORTHERN FLYER, which was fractious, began awkwardly. WADADELIGHT was slow to begin and then became unbalanced when crowded for room between MR PRESIDENT and OSCAR STAR which shifted out. TOUCH DOWN was slow to begin. Near the winning post on the first occasion, WADADELIGHT, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when awkwardly placed between NORTHERN FLYER and O' SHINY. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, WYNDAM POWER, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up and shifted out when being steadied away from the heels of MR PRESIDENT which steadied in front. When WYNDAM POWER shifted out, TREASURE FIELD was inconvenienced. In the early stages, RENA'S WUNDERBAR raced wide and without cover. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, WYNDAM POWER hung out and for some distance afterwards was unable to improve when behind TREASURE FIELD. Also making the turn at the 600 Metres, MULTI RANSOM was bumped by NORTHERN FLYER which got its head on the side and hung in. At the 500 Metres, TOUCH DOWN was disappointed for running between MULTI RANSOM and NORTHERN FLYER. In the early part of the Straight, NORTHERN FLYER was held up and unable to improve between RENA'S WUNDERBAR and OSCAR STAR which was giving ground. In the Straight, WADADELIGHT hung in and proved difficult to ride. For the major part of the race, O' SHINY raced wide and without cover, then in the Straight hung in and proved difficult to ride. TREASURE FIELD and OSCAR STAR were sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of both TREASURE FIELD and OSCAR STAR after the race did not show any significant findings. WYNDAM POWER, SIXTY SECONDS and PRECIOUS SWEETIE were sent for sampling.
