Racing Incident Report

When the gates opened, MR BASKETBALL got is head up and began very awkwardly. KING OF FIELD was slow to begin. From a gate towards the outside, MEHBOOB THE THIRD was immediately steadied and shifted back behind runners to a position close to the rail. Making the turn out of the Straight on the first occasion, HIGH SKY was steadied when crowded for room between MAXIMUM JOY and SPLIT SECONDS. Near the 1400 Metres, MAXIMUM JOY was steadied away from the heels of FREEBIRD. After this, MAXIMUM JOY shifted out to race near the heels of SPLIT SECONDS. When MAXIMUM JOY shifted out, HIGH SKY was carried wider which in turn carried BRAVE KNIGHT wider. Making the turn after the 1400 Metres, SAINTLY PARTNERS was held wide by SPLIT SECONDS which had its head on the side and hung out. At the 1200 Metres, HIGH SKY was steadied away from the heels of BRAVE KNIGHT which shifted in. After this, HIGH SKY raced wide and without cover. In the middle stages, FREEBIRD lay in. Then in the early part of the Straight, FREEBIRD got its head on the side, shifted in and caused some crowding to SHINING DRAGON. For some distance after straightening, SHINING DRAGON was held up and unable to improve when racing behind FREEBIRD. Over the concluding stages, SMART HORSE shifted out. FAT CHANCE, BOLD VISION and FREEBIRD were sent for sampling.
